Doorway Page
A Doorway page is a type of webpage often used in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve rankings and increase website traffic to a specific website on the World Wide Web. Doorway pages usually don't have much specific information or usefulness for human traffic; doorway pages are full of keywords and are intended to attract the interest of search engines.
Often, when you click on a link that takes you to a Doorway page, you will be instantly redirected to another page instead. This may be done through JavaScript or Meta refresh, or the Doorway page may prominently display a link for you to click on ("For more information Click Here"). If the page automatically redirects you without your knowledge or consent, the web page is utilizing cloaking.
Doorway pages can be created just for one specific keyword or phrase (such as a doorway page for "princess bed"), or they can be more general (such as a doorway page for "children's furniture").
A Doorway page may also be known as a portal page, a bridge page, a jump page, a gateway page, or an entry page.
