Google Labs

Google, Inc. showcases "rough drafts" of developing projects at the Google Labs website, www.googlelabs.com. Here, Google researchers, developers, and engineers post projects they're working on, and visitors test them out. Visitors to the Labs for Google Apps website can send comments and suggestions about the developing projects directly to Google's engineers.

Some of Google's experimental applications and products on the Google Labs website may eventually be launched by Google as official Google services. Others get voted down, have extensive technical difficulties, or prove too unpopular for Google to devote the resources to fully develop them for the general public.

You can activate Google labs experimental search add-ons by clicking "Join this Experiment" next to the particular experiment you'd like to test. Then, every time you search with Google, you'll be testing the experiment. You can "leave" Google experiments at any time. Google encourages the public to participate in Google Labs experiments and leave honest feedback.
